OUR HISTORY

In 2009, three of Canada's most respected building material suppliers; Watson Building Supplies in Ontario, Shoemaker Drywall Supplies in the central and prairie regions, and the Beauchesne Group of Companies from Quebec, came together to form, WSB Titan.

In doing so, Titan became the largest independently owned drywall supplier in the country with 23 locations across six provinces. Since that time, our vision and capabilities have continued to grow. In 2015, Titan acquired Slegg Building Materials (Vancouver Island) and BC Ceilings (BC Mainland and Alberta). With unrivaled service and delivery performance, Canada's newest fleet, support from Canada's leading manufacturers and suppliers, and some of the most skilled and dedicated people in the industry, Titan was able to serve every building material need.

In 2018 WSB Titan became part of GMS Inc. Founded in 1971, GMS is the largest Gypsum Speciality Dealer in North America with over 250 locations. With the purchase of Rigney Building Materials in Kingston in 2019 and D.L. Building Materials in 2021, we expanded our presence in both eastern Ontario and the Ottawa-Gatineau market. In 2023, we were excited to have Blair Building Materials in Maple Ontario and Home Lumber & Building Supplies in Victoria, BC join GMS Canada and our group of strong, in-market branded companies.
